First UK Edition, 1982. J.M. Dent & Sons, London.

The book is in very good condition, with some slight tears to the dust jacket which shows the tidal flats of Laugharne, with a black-and-white photographic portrait of Dylan Thomas to the top right-hand corner of the front panel. Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured illustration on the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the front panel and spine.

The photography and book is by Rollie McKenna, with acknowledgements and introduction by John Malcolm Brinnin. The book contains photographic endpapers, showing the Welsh coast at Laugharne, as well as black and white photographic frontispiece of Dylan Thomas.

The text is illustrated, profusely, with black-and-white and the occasional coloured photograph of Dylan Thomas, his family and the environments around Laugharne and Dylan's American tours. Some of the most enduring images of the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas were taken by the photographer Rollie McKenna. This is a book that celebrates the last years of the poet's life in and around his home town of Laugharne, New York City and the photographer's own home of Millbrook, New York.
