The book is in excellent condition, bound in blue-grey cloth with gilt detailing and lettering to spine. The book comes without its slipcase, but this has not impacted on its condition. Introduced by Bernard Bergonzi, the book is designed by Sir Francis Meynell and illustrated by Charles Mozley. 


It contains illustrated endpapers, with different scenes front and rear. The book was originally published in 1897. This copy includes the publisher's insert, The Sandglass.
