This is a lovely first edition is a fantastic collection of short pieces about cats from such diverse sources as Aesop, Cervantes, Chaucer, Keats, Prior, Swift, Wordsworth, etc. Divided into sections "Old Time Ctas", "Eighteenth Century Cats", Miscellaneous Cats", Nonsense Cats".
The book's clothboard covers are in great condition for its age and while it is missing the dust jacket, there is minimal shelfwear or damage to the corners and spine.
