Published by The Folio Society, London, 1962. The illustrated black and grey coarse cloth binding is clean and bright, showing no signs of wear. Everything is square and tight with unbumped edges and sharp corners. Inside the contents are immaculate with no ownership inscriptions or other markings of any kind. The slipcase shows minor wear. The book is illustrated by Clarke Hutton.
 
Almayer's Folly, was originally published in 1895 and is Joseph Conrad's first novel. Set in the late 19th century, it centres on the life of the Dutch trader Kaspar Almayer in the Borneo jungle and his relationship to his mixed heritage daughter Nina.
