The book is in excellent condition, which is bound in quarter leather with moire silk sides, top edge red. The colour illustrated slipcase is in excellent condition with a few tiny scuff marks to edges, but very minimal. Introduction by Nicholas Boyle, with translation and notes by David Luke. Large format. The book contains a colour frontis, but then black and white illustrations through the remainder of the book, all done by Eugene Delacroix.
