The book is in excellent condition and bound with crushed dark gold silk covered boards with boldly legible gilt stamped lettering and calligraphy. translated, with introduction and commentary from his 1993 Ballantine original, by Roger T. Ames, and preface for this Edition by Rupert Smith. The slipcase has some shelfwear and there is a small inscription of previous owner to endpaper.
