Published by the Folio Society, London in 2007. The book and slip case are in excellent, almost new condition; the book was bound by Real-Lachenmaier in full cloth blocked with a design by illustrator Michael Foreman, who also provides 14 further illustrations for this copy. The spine titles and front cover design have lots of gilt.
The book contains a good selection of Stevenson's stories, including one set in 1815 Scotland, and the protagonist having realised that the corpses he and his peers examine in anatomy class are stolen from fresh graves, a young medical student finds that he must procure the next specimen. These stories are Stevenson at his adult scary best.
