Published by the Folio Society, London, 2004.
The book is in excellent condition bound in imitation vellum with bright colour decoration to front cover. A Woman's Life In The Middle Ages is introduced and edited by B.A. Windeatt with a preface by Alice Thomas Ellis. It is contained within a slipcase, which is also in excellent condition, with minimal signs of shelfwear.
The book contains black and white illustrations by Chris Daunt.
The "Book of Margery Kempe" was first published by Penquin Books in 1985. The Folio Edition follows the text of the first edition with minor emendations. It is widely cited as the first autobiography in English, however, scholars disagree on whether it can accurately be called an autobiography, or whether it would be more accurately classified as a confession of faith.
