The book is in excellent condition, bound in maroon cloth with cover design based on Dulac's design for "My Days with the Fairies" by Mrs. R. Stawell. The book is housed in a slipcase which is also in excellent condition, with some shelfwear marks.
The book contains versions of "The Sleeping Beauty," "Blue Beard," "Cinderella" and "Beauty and the Beast" first published in the United Kingdom by Hodder & Stoughton in 1912. The texts of "Little Red Riding-Hood," "Puss in Boots," "The Fairy," "Riquet-with-the-Tuft" and "Hop-o'-my-Thumb" are based on the original Robert Samber translations. Illustrated with 30 full-page colored plates by Edmund Dulac.
