The book is in excellent condition, bound in brown cloth w gilt decoration to front cover, gilt decoration and lettering to spine. Colour illustrated frontispiece/title page and many colour photographs throughout, alongside map endpapers. The slipcase has some shelf-wear, but overall in excellent condition.
The Hittites was first published in 1952 by Penguin Books and this copy is a first printing after the book was originally issued only in a box set with The Egyptians, The Persians, and The Babylonians.
