The book is in excellent, almost like new condition, but there is a faint smell of stale cigarette smoke from the pages (which is reflected in its price). It is bound in an attractive binding in red cloth with ornately illustrated front cover and spine. The slipcase has minimal shelf wear.

Introduction by Andrew Lycett.

The Lost World is the account of “the recent amazing adventures of Professor George E. Challenger, Lord John Roxton, Professor Summerlee, and Mr E.D. Malone of the Daily Gazette”. The text in this edition, follows that of the 1912 UK edition, and the illustrations are from the larger paper edition, and include 13 colour and black and white plates, as well as two maps.
