Published by Folio Society, London in 1965. The book is in excellent condition, with an illustrated blue covers. The book is edited and translated by N.W. Wilson. There are page illustrations and maps that link to the voyage and the countries / ports it visited.
This book covers a large section on Cape Town and was the first translation into English of the book by the Russian novelist Goncharov. His account of Cape Town and its surroundings contains some of his finest writing and is especially interesting for its first hand account of the character and works of geologist and road builder Andrew Geddes Bain.
