Illustrated engravings on wood from designs by Kenny Meadows are plentiful and complement wonderfully to the readability of the set. Extensive and scholarly notations, biographies and essays on the works in addition to a copy of Shakespeare's Will, and the most famous of the verses on Shakespeare including Milton's own first printed work. Surface rubs to the corners, cover and spine edges, gilt design to spines worn, paper clean and white with the odd spot to a couple of plates. A beautiful and impressive set.
