Frontispiece and title page in excellent condition. Content clean. Illustrated throughout with numerous coloured and black & white images, all in excellent condition.
This is a handsome work, providing the history of the city that produced Marco Polo, among many others. The book reveals the Venetian attitudes to life and their experience of it.
